The Complimentary Upgrade Package

What's in the $1,500 of free upgrades?

Five specific things. Most installers either charge extra for them or quietly leave them out of the bid. Here's every one of them, what it costs at retail, and why it's on your floor.

$1,513 retail value · Included at no charge on every Premium floor · Itemized on your written estimate at $0

The five upgrades, itemized

These aren't vague "value adds." Each one is a line on your estimate with its own name and its own retail price, marked at $0 — and each one is written into your signed agreement as work we're obligated to perform.

01

Moisture Vapor Barrier Primer

Blocks moisture from seeping up through the concrete slab, preventing your coating from peeling or bubbling over time. Critical in humid climates.

The catch most people miss: this is the first thing cut from a cheap bid, and you won't know it's missing until the floor lifts.
$499 Included
02

Perimeter Cove Base Coating

Coating carried 4–6 inches up the walls for a seamless look where the floor meets the wall. Most installers stop at the floor edge.

Why it matters: no raw seam at the wall to collect dirt, and nothing for a hose or squeegee to catch on.
$425 Included
03

Steps Coating Where applicable

Interior garage steps coated in the same flake and finish as your floor for a uniform, professional look throughout.

Honest note: if your garage has no interior steps, there's nothing to coat and this line won't apply to your job.
$375 Included
04

Custom Flake Design Session

Pick your exact color and pattern using our floor visualizer and see what your floor will look like before we touch it.

Try it right now: upload a photo of your garage and see your floor in any of our colorways.
$89 Included
05

1-Year Courtesy Floor Inspection

We come back after a year to inspect your floor at no charge and make sure everything is holding up perfectly.

Why we do it: a lifetime adhesion warranty is only worth something if somebody actually looks at the floor.

Retail value means what we'd charge for each item if you bought it on its own. Your floor is priced from its square footage and condition first; the upgrade package is added afterward at no charge, so nothing here is baked into your rate.

So what's the catch?

There isn't one, and the reason is less generous than it sounds: most of this is the prep that decides whether a floor lasts fifteen years or peels in three. A moisture barrier, joints filled properly, a sealed perimeter — that's the work a cheaper bid leaves out to hit a lower number, and the customer doesn't find out until the coating lifts off the slab.

We'd rather include it and compete on the finished floor. It also makes our limited lifetime adhesion warranty something we can actually afford to honor — we're not warranting a coating we installed over a wet slab.

The rest of it — the design session, the one-year inspection — costs us an hour each and buys us a customer who knows exactly what they're getting and a floor we get to check on. That's a trade we'll take every time.

Questions we get about this

Is there a catch? Do you raise the price to cover it? +
No. The price you're quoted is calculated from your square footage and floor condition before the upgrade package is applied, and the package is itemized separately on the estimate at $0 so you can see exactly what was added and what it would have cost. Nothing is bundled into the square-foot rate to pay for it. If you want to check our math, ask the estimator to walk you through the line items — they're printed on the quote.
Can I take the cash instead of the upgrades? +
No, and it's worth explaining why. These aren't discounts we're choosing not to give you — they're physical work and materials that go onto your floor during the install. The moisture barrier goes down on the bare slab before the base coat; skipping it doesn't hand back $499, it just leaves your coating sitting on an unsealed slab. What we can do is talk about which system fits your budget, and the Original and Basic systems exist for exactly that reason.
What if my garage doesn't have steps? +
Then the steps line doesn't apply to your job — that's what "where applicable" means on the estimate. The other four upgrades are unaffected, and we don't substitute a discount for it. Roughly speaking, garages with an interior door up into the house usually have steps; a flat, single-level garage usually doesn't.
How long is this offer good for? +
The Complimentary Upgrade Package is part of what a Premium floor is, not a limited-time promotion with a countdown clock on it. Your written estimate states its own expiration date, and the terms are frozen onto that estimate when it's issued — so what you're quoted is what you get signed, even if we change the package later.
Do I have to decide on the spot to get it? +
No. The estimator's job is to measure your floor, test the slab, and leave you with a written quote — not to pressure you into signing in your driveway. The upgrade package is on the quote either way, and the quote is yours to sit on.
Why give away $1,500 of work? +
Because most of it is the prep that decides whether a floor lasts fifteen years or peels in three, and because it makes our lifetime adhesion warranty something we can afford to honor. We're not warranting a coating we installed over a wet slab. Competing on the finished floor instead of the lowest number is a deliberate choice about which customers we want.
