Two systems, same prep

The prep is identical. What changes is what goes on top: the moisture barrier, the finished edges and how deep the crack work goes. We'll recommend one at the estimate.

*In Arizona we install a full polyaspartic system (polyaspartic base and topcoat), which doesn't use the moisture barrier. Your written estimate lists exactly what's included.

The process

How every floor is built

The same five steps on every floor, by our own crew, whether you searched for epoxy floor installers or concrete floor coating contractors. Most of the work is in the first three, which you never see once the floor is down.

Diamond grind: a coarse pass and a refining pass, every edge by hand, so the coating keys into open concrete.
Crack and joint repair: every crack and joint filled and ground flush. Premium rebuilds the larger cracks from the bottom.
Moisture test: before we quote. When the slab needs a barrier, the primer goes onto bare concrete and cures overnight.
Base coat and full flake: flake broadcast into the wet base coat until it won't hold any more.
Clear polyaspartic topcoat: the UV-stable wear layer, with anti-slip grit mixed in.
