November is Auburn's wettest month. Your garage floor wears it in muddy tire tracks and a puddle by the door. Our garage floor coating in Auburn puts full flake and a clear, wipe-clean topcoat over concrete we test and diamond-grind first. The estimate is free, at your house.
Task Force Garage coats garage floors all over Auburn, Washington, from the valley floor up to Lea Hill and Lakeland Hills. Your garage floor coating starts with a moisture test on your slab, then diamond grinding and crack repair. A polyurea base coat, full vinyl flake and a clear polyaspartic topcoat finish it. The estimate is free, at your house.
Pricing an epoxy garage floor in Auburn? Ours is the upgrade over one, with the same flake look. Epoxy wants summer heat to cure, and ours can go down in a cold November garage once your slab passes its moisture test. It stays clear by the sunny door instead of yellowing, and your car is back inside in 72 hours instead of about a week.
Most garages are done in a day. If yours needs our moisture barrier primer, plan on two, because it cures overnight. You'll have a written, itemized price before anything starts, and your finished floor carries our lifetime adhesion warranty.

Auburn has old garages and brand-new ones, a few miles apart. Around downtown and south Auburn, about half the homes went up before 1980. On Lea Hill and in Lakeland Hills, two in three went up since 1990. Which one you have changes the prep on your floor.

If your house dates from the 1920s, your garage may sit out back at the end of the driveway. Maybe it still holds a car. Maybe it's become your shop, your gym or the place the canoe spends the winter.
We coat your detached garage the same way as an attached one. A shop floor just takes more abuse, from rolling toolboxes to dropped wrenches, so the diamond grind and full flake earn their keep out there.
Older detached slabs often have a crack or two and an edge that's crumbled. We fill and patch those before your base coat goes down. If your slab is too far gone to save, we'll tell you at the estimate.
Using yours as a workshop? Here's more on coating a home shop floor.

If you live on Auburn's valley floor, your house sits where the Green and White rivers run. The city's own hazard page says much of north Auburn can flood when the rivers run high. Ground that wet keeps moisture close under your slab all through the rainy months.
So we bring a moisture meter, read your slab in more than one spot and look for white chalky deposits and dark damp patches. If the meter reads high, or we spot two of those signs, the barrier primer goes down before anything else, and your install runs two days.
Did your garage take water in last December's storms? Tell us. We'll look for soft or flaking concrete and patch it first. Up on Lea Hill or in Lakeland Hills, we still test yours, because any slab can pull moisture up from the ground.

Here's a two-car garage on a dry slab. If yours needs the barrier, the primer cures overnight between the grinding and your base coat.
You empty the garage the evening before. In the morning, we check your slab's moisture again and tape off your walls and anything bolted down.
Diamond grinders take your slab down to fresh concrete, edges included, and we vacuum the dust as we go. Your cracks and joints get filled and ground flush.
Next comes the polyurea base coat. We broadcast flake into it by hand until the color you picked covers every inch.
Loose flake gets scraped and vacuumed. Then the clear polyaspartic topcoat rolls on, with anti-slip grit to keep your footing sure.
Your socks are fine on it the next morning. Give it three days before your car rolls in, and a week before you drag anything heavy across it.

Your real number comes in writing at the estimate. Until then, here's where most pro-installed floors land across the Seattle area, and what usually sets the price in a garage like yours.
| Garage | Seattle-area range | What usually sets the price |
|---|---|---|
| One-car | $835β$3,340 | Old paint, cracks and the slab's age. |
| Two-car | $1,600β$5,800 | Size, an old kit coating and the barrier. |
Choose Premium, and your moisture barrier, cove base up the walls, coated steps, flake design session and one-year courtesy inspection come at no extra charge. See what Premium adds, or open the Seattle-area cost guide for three-car prices.
Selling in a year or two? Our Original floor, without the extras, may be your smarter spend, and we'll price both for you.

Lakeland Hills crosses the KingβPierce county line, and we cover both sides. Here are a few neighborhoods by ZIP code. Don't see yours? You're still covered.
Just over the line? We also cover Kent, Federal Way and Puyallup, plus Algona and Pacific.

The same flake floor works in a detached shop, a finished basement or a covered walkway. See basement floors, browse the gallery, or try a color on a photo of your garage.

Across the Seattle area, a pro-installed floor runs about $1,600 to $5,800 for most two-car garages. A one-car garage costs less, and a three-car costs more. Your price depends on the size, the cracks, any old coating to remove and whether your slab needs the moisture barrier. You'll get it in writing after the free estimate.
It can work in a heated garage on a dry slab in summer. Most Auburn garages run cold and damp from fall to spring, though, and epoxy wants warmth to cure. Our polyurea base and clear polyaspartic topcoat cure across a wide temperature range, flex with your slab and stay clear in sunlight. And since most people book in spring, fall and winter dates are easier to get.
Yes, the same way we coat an attached garage. Older detached slabs often need more patching, and we test yours for moisture like any other. If it's a working shop, ask about a busier flake blend that hides scuffs between cleanings. You'll see every line of the work, patching included, in your written price.
Not over it. A peeling coating would take ours with it, so we grind every bit of it off first, down to clean concrete. Then your floor goes down like any other. The extra grinding adds some time and cost, and it's itemized in your written price. More on coating over old epoxy.
Yes. Most of Auburn is in King County, and the south end, including part of Lakeland Hills, crosses into Pierce County. We cover both sides of the line, plus nearby Algona and Pacific and the homes toward Lake Tapps. Your price and your install day work the same way on either side.
Usually, yes. Once the concrete has dried out, we test it in several spots and look for soft, flaking or crusted areas, then repair them before anything goes down. If your moisture reading comes back high, the barrier primer goes on first, and your install takes two days instead of one.
You can walk on the floor the next morning and park on it after 72 hours. It keeps hardening for about a week after that, so wait before you drag a heavy toolbox or a trailer across it. A dry slab takes one working day, and one that needs the barrier takes two.
We cover all of Auburn, Washington, including downtown and North Auburn, West Hill, Terminal Park, Forest Villa, Lea Hill, Hazelwood and Lakeland Hills. Next door, we also cover Kent, Federal Way, Puyallup, Algona and Pacific. Not sure you're in? Give us a call and ask.
We measure, test your slab for moisture and look over the cracks or old coating you're worried about. You get an itemized price in writing, with no pressure to decide on the spot.
