How long does a garage floor coating take to install?
Without the moisture barrier, a garage is finished in one day; with it, two, because the primer cures overnight. Every Premium floor includes the barrier. You can walk on the floor the next day and park on it after 72 hours. Everything needs to come out of the garage before the crew arrives, including vehicles, storage and freestanding shelving, since the whole slab gets ground and coated.
Can you coat a garage floor in the fall or winter?
Usually, yes. Traditional epoxy needs the slab at roughly 50–90°F, which limits most Seattle epoxy installs to July through September. Polyaspartic tolerates a much wider temperature range, so fall and even winter installs are realistic once the slab passes a moisture test. The stretch we're most careful about is deep winter, when ground saturation peaks.
Why not just get an epoxy floor in Seattle?
Because a Seattle garage is hard on epoxy. Plenty of people call any coated garage floor an epoxy floor, but ours is a polyurea base coat and flake under a clear polyaspartic topcoat. Compared with epoxy, you can park on it after 72 hours instead of waiting up to a week, it isn't limited to epoxy's July-to-September window as long as the slab passes the moisture test, and it doesn't amber in sunlight. Will rain on install day delay the job?
No. The coating goes down indoors, so rain during the day doesn't stop the install. What matters is how much moisture is already in the slab, which is why we test it before scheduling instead of on the morning of the job.

Can you coat a floor that has cracks?
Yes. Cracks and control joints are filled and ground smooth before any coating goes down. On a Premium floor, larger cracks are cut open and rebuilt instead of just filled.
What happens if my floor peels or blisters?
That’s what the lifetime adhesion warranty is for. If the coating delaminates from the concrete, including peeling, blistering or hot-tire pickup, we repair or recoat the affected area at no charge. It doesn't cover damage from impact, abrasion or staining, improper maintenance, or using the floor before the cure times above. The full terms are in your written agreement.
